Hi! I’m Kate Shore, a painter specializing in coastal-inspired abstract art. Being near the water soothes me like nothing else, and I aim to bring that same sense of calm into my paintings. When you see my artwork on your wall, I want it to feel like a breath of fresh air.

With a background in painting scenery and props for theatres and theme parks, I’ve been wielding a paint brush for as long as I can remember. But after having my son in 2018, I found myself just wanting to paint for the sake of doing something creative (aka non-baby related), and I fell in love with what showed up on the canvas.

Since then, I’ve been creating abstract acrylic paintings, prints, and hand painted necklaces in my home studio in central Florida.

And yes, my last name is really Shore! I didn’t start painting shorelines because of that, it just worked out that way :)
